If you’re anything like me, you’re incredibly disappointed that I’m not releasing my new book this month. But here’s why:
I am self-publishing, but I’m using a company this time instead of my editor friend.
Said company has certain rules and regulations about books that deal with race (I will discuss this topic later) and so I had to go back and change things in my book. It literally took months for final approval.
Said company did not provide line-editing. I kinda thought it did. So I had to find someone to line edit and…it was a bit of a mess.
Said book shall be line-edited this week.
But, the cover is picked out (it’s pretty!).
And hopefully I am forever done with this manuscript.
And Lord willing the novel will be out in less than two months!
