Personally, the best books are books that invite you into their world and you just don’t want to leave. You find yourself tuning out the world, trying to do chores faster, and doing your best to convince yourself not to read at every stoplight as you drive. And so I ask you, what is the last book that you read that you simply couldn’t put down? For me, it was Elizabeth Camden’s With Every Breath (review this week). For you it may not be a recent read. So,what book captured you?
The last one that REALLY captured me was “My Hope is Found” by Joanne Bischof! I literally stayed up until almost 3am to finish it and did absolutely nothing that day!
Hmm, I can’t decide whether the mention the historical page turner or the fantasy, so will say both.
I loved ‘The Tutor’s Daughter’ by Julie Klassen, because I wanted to find out who was playing all the nasty tricks in the mansion, and also how a couple with such a rocky childhood past could fall in love.
And I raced through Patrick W Carr’s ‘The Staff and the Sword’ series because I was anxious to find out why the cast lots kept falling so evenly between Errol and Liam.
I’m sure there will be many page turners to come.
